25 Years At The Grind - And We're Just Getting Geared Up

More than 3 decades ago, Shakstads, a Sioux Falls, SD, based company specializing in electric motor service, began sharpening corrugated mill rolls. After 15 years or so, Shakstads approached their in house mill roll enthusiast, Bob Scherer, about buying that portion of the business. Bob obliged, opening Scherer Corrugating & Machine Inc. in an industrial park near Tea, SD. Today we manufacture the highest quality in cast iron mill rolls, custom steel mill rolls, and high performance kernel processors, and we do it all just a 1/2 mile down the road from the original plant.
